Record year for Rapak filling systems

Rapak has underlined its status as the market leader in bag-in-box by reporting record sales for its filling systems in 2009, with sales having doubled on the previous year.

This outstanding achievement not only confirms bag-in-box as the packaging format of choice for wine and a wide variety of other liquid products but also demonstrates the high performance, quality and reliability of the Rapak filler range.

A choice of configurations and options for fill heads, cap/gland tooling and loading systems enables Rapak to tailor every machine to particular customer requirements, while advanced technology means the fillers offer some of the highest outputs available – for example, up to 30 bags per minute for 3 litre bags on a twin head machine.

All models feature high levels of automation and touch screen control, along with the major benefit of data acquisition and fault reporting to a remote computer via Ethernet. A modular design with common electrical controls, pneumatics and bag into box loading systems ensures ease of maintenance and upgrading of equipment.

The latest innovation is a unique Nitrogen shroud option which further minimises oxygen in the head space of the bag to deliver extended shelf life.

"Our strong sales performance demonstrates bag-in-box’s versatility, while the wide choice of equipment we offer means we can tailor each machine to a customer’s precise needs,” comments Matt Coleman, Rapak’s Filling Systems Manager - Europe. “Equally important, our extensive support services enable us to supply a complete packaging solution every time."
